Some times you need to send short private message to your friend.But you have not such things as PGP or other encryption program on your fingers.This page is for such cases.Using this page you can encrypt your message and send it via web based e-mail to your friend. This applet based on JDK 1.02 API and so it will work practically with any Java - enabled Browser.
This applet use very strong conventional encryption, but it is hosted on insecure server and is not signed.So you can not use it in cases , where you need very strong security , but it is more then enough secure to send some private information to your friend.
Applet performs message encryption with symmetric Blowfish cipher with key length - 160 bit.
To produce a cipher key applet takes SHA1 message digest from password string. Then message is compressed and encrypted with this key and then Base64 encoded.You can then transfer this message to your friend through your favorite mail client ( using cut and paste ) or through Any Form.To decrypt this message you must paste it into applet.Before exchanging with messages you must exchange with password with your recepient.
